Divorce Applications

• A divorce application is a separate application to end a marriage, following separation;
• It is a separate application to an application for consent orders and can be completed by either one or both parties without them having to go to court;
• Before making an application, the parties need to have been separated for at least 12 months, and this may include being separated but still living under the same roof;
• Child support and parenting arrangements need to be agreed and detailed in the application to ensure the interests of any minor children have been complied with;
