Financial Mediation

  • Often one of the parties may not be very close to the finances or assets and liabilities of a relationship and need an independent person to help them verify the figures and provide some comfort as to their completeness and accuracy;
  • We can assist with the reviewing of all the assets and liabilities and business interests of the parties and provide independent feedback to enable the parties to reach an agreement by themselves;
  • The financial contributions of both parties initially and during a relationship need to be established for the family court, and this can sometimes be very complex to unravel;
  • Sometimes there are complicated structures and entities that have been created for various reasons, like for taxation planning or business purposes, including trusts, companies, self-managed superannuation funds, and so on, and these all need to be taken into account for a financial settlement to be reached.
